We are wired for connection, and our job at the Studio is to faciliate that. Connections to other humans, but also connection to self through conscious movement, mind-muscle communication, and scheduled time to regulate. Our strong belief is that the physical piece of wellness (physical activity, exercise, movement) is a catalyst for all other aspects of wellness (social, emotional, occupational, spiritual...). Life is full of curves, and you learn to swerve and adapt. "Stress" from life events and situations you find yourself in, is detrimental to your overall health. Humans are constantly trying to find coping strategies and internally manage mental stress. Stress can be positive too! You see, exercise is positive stress on the body....our biology adapts to the stress placed upon it in exercise and we get physically stronger. I'm not just talking muscles, but stronger in all the sub systems of the body as well. Your CELLS get stronger. Cognitive stress (mental, emotional, financial) also challenges us to get stronger...to develop new ways to cope, grow, change perspecitve and build resiliancy. Psychology affects Biology....always remember that mind & body are ONE. An intricate, beautiful energetic phenomenon.
