We offer a Pilates experience that involves education and passion in a fun environment! Over thirteen years ago we opened the first pilates studio in Central Alberta and haven't looked back! We have the most experienced, educated, and energetic instructors in Central Alberta!
Your first step in getting started with our Pilates program is to have an introductory private lesson. This 60 minute appointment is one on one with an instructor. In this initial lesson your instructor will explain the pilates principles of alignment and stability, and begin teaching you some fundamental movements. You will also have a postural assessment to gain insight into what your body's needs are and how to focus your attention on these during class.
You can choose to start in a Small Group MAT class or a Small Group APPARATUS class - or both! You may also decide to stick to private or semi-private lessons.
MAT classes involve the traditional floor exercises. We will keep classes interesting by incorporating small Pilates equipment such as toning balls, foam rollers, fitness circles, flex-bands, and stability cushions.
APPARATUS classes involve using the Pilates Reformer, Cadillac Frame, and Stability Chair. This specialized Pilates equipment uses spring tension for resistance.
We suggest at least ONE introductory lesson before starting a Small Group MAT class and at least TWO introductory lessons before starting a Small Group Apparatus class. Contact us to book your initial private lesson!
Studio Pilates also offers unique workouts that compliment the Pilates technique. We are currently offering Booty Barre, Core Stix Athletic Circuit, and Piloxing classes!

Core Stix Athletic Circuit classes are here! Click on the picture below to check out Core Stix full body resistance trainers! The Athletic Circuit involves atheltic based exercises in a circuit style. You will incorporate medicine balls, slide board, ViPR, and more! Contact us for class information! All fitness levels welcome...that's the beauty of a curcuit style class - you can work at your own pace at each station.
